'The Originals' Season 5 Spoilers: Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley to Make Special Appearances?

Many will be pleased to hear that Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are not planning to stay out of the limelight for long. The two, who starred as Elena Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries," might appear together in "The Originals" season 5.
The heartbreaking finale of "The Originals" season 4 left a ton of open storylines for the next season. In a bid to save Hope, Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood) split the Hollow and placed the pieces into the bodies of the Mikaelsons — Niklaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (Claire Holt), and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) — forcing them to avoid each other for eternity.
"The idea was always to put them in a dilemma where they had two impossible choices," writer and former showrunner Michael Narducci told Yahoo! TV, adding, "One impossible choice is to sacrifice Hope and the other impossible choice is to say goodbye to one another."
With the life of Hope at stake, Niklaus and Hayley Marshall-Kenner (Phoebe Tonkin) might send their tribrid daughter to the Mystic Falls. There, she would enroll herself at the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, headed by Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) and Caroline Forbes (Candice King).
This is where Dobrev and Wesley might enter into the picture. Even though Stefan died in "The Vampire Diaries" finale, he could still find his way back to the series through a flashback. The "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" actress, on the other hand, might return as Katherine Pierce and continue her pretty epic romance with Elijah.
Aside from Dobrev and Wesley, King's Caroline might also appear in "The Originals" season 5. That handwritten letter from Klaus in the finale was all but a promise that Caroline would eventually find her way back into his arms.
However, none among Dobrev, Wesley, and King has commented on the claims. So, until they do, this remains nothing more than speculation

Leslie Jones: host with the most!

Funny lady Leslie Jones put on quite the show hosting the 2017 BET Awards tonight. The show was action packed and the Ghostbusters star did her best to keep viewers on their toes (and yell at them a lot!).

Presenters included Yara Shahidi, Cardi B, Issa Rae, Jamie Foxx, La La Anthony, the cast of Girls Trip (Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah), Robin Thede, Trevor Noah, Demetrius Shipp Jr. and Cari Champion.

The show's crowd-raising performers included Big Sean, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, DJ Khaled, Future, Lil Wayne, Migos, Post Malone, Trey Songz, Tamar Braxton and Roman Gianarthur. 

Google on track for quantum computer breakthrough by end of 2017

Google is leading the pack when it comes to quantum computing. The company is testing a 20-qubit processor – its most powerful quantum chip yet – and is on target to have a working 49-qubit chip by the end of this year.

Qubits, or quantum bits, can be a mixture of 0 and 1 at the same time, making them potentially more powerful than classical bits.

And if everything goes to plan, the 49-qubit chip will make Google the first to build a quantum computer capable of solving certain problems that are beyond the abilities of ordinary computers. Google set itself this ambitious goal, known as quantum supremacy, in a paper published last July.

Alan Ho, an engineer in Google’s quantum AI lab, revealed the company’s progress at a quantum computing conference in Munich, Germany. His team is currently working with a 20-qubit system that has a “two-qubit fidelity” of 99.5 per cent – a measure of how error-prone the processor is, with a higher rating equating to fewer errors.

For quantum supremacy, Google will need to build a 49-qubit system with a two-qubit fidelity of at least 99.7 per cent. Ho is confident his team will deliver this system by the end of this year. Until now, the company’s best public effort was a 9-qubit computer built in 2015.

Moving fast

“Things really have moved much quicker than I would have expected,” says Simon Devitt at the RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science in Japan. Now that Google and other companies involved in quantum computing have mastered much of the fundamental science behind creating high-quality superconducting qubits, the big challenge facing these firms is scaling these systems and reducing their error rates.

It is important not to get carried away with numbers of qubits, says Michele Reilly, CEO at Turing Inc, a quantum start-up. It’s impossible to really harness the power of these machines in a useful way without error correction, she says – a technique that mitigates the fickle nature of quantum mechanics.

Ho says it will be 2027 before we have error-corrected quantum computers, so useful devices are still some way off. But if Google can be the first to demonstrate quantum supremacy, showing that qubits really can beat regular computers, it will be a major scientific breakthrough

'Help: Her late husband's family accuse me of killing him'

Her name is Mabel, a 30-year-old woman with four children. she am in a serious trouble at the moment because the family of my late husband is accusing me of killing him and wants her to swear by their village shrine and drink the water used in bathing him.

She got married to Amaechi when she was 20-year-old and she said that in the 10 years they spent together were the best years of her life because he did everything to make me happy.

Amaechi would go out of his way to make sure her family never lacked anything and took my aged mother as his own mother. In fact, he was her elder brother's best friend and business partner.

He did not joke with their children and even though he was not well educated, he made sure they attended the best schools and had lessons teachers for all of them.

He often joked that since he did not have the opportunity of going far in his education, his children must get to the highest level no matter what it took him.

Amaechi was her best friend, husband, lover, father and the only man that meant the world to her and their children.

But little did she know that all of these did not go down well with members of his family despite all he did for them. He was the most prominent man in his family and did not hold back when he could help them.

All of them ran to him for one financial assistance or the other to set up businesses, marriages, buy property, settle land disputes and many other stuff. He always told me about the needs of his people and she kept encouraging him to help them in any way he could.

So she keep wondering how his people will now turn around to accuse her of not allowing him to help them and instead of spending all his money on my family?

She remember when Amaechi told me that his community wanted to confer a chieftaincy title on him and she clearly told him never to take the title.

She had my fears because of the rites that would go with the title and told him not to accept it but he allayed my fears, saying his people loved him and would never harm him.

As usual, he had a superior argument and went for the ceremony but barely two months after coming back, Amaechi fell sick. She took him to our hospital for a test but nothing was detected.

We went to other hospitals but the results were the same but her husband was deteriorating and she had to take him to our church for prayers. It was the pastor that told us he was attacked spiritually and commenced on a special prayer and deliverance program for him.

But after all failed, She had to agree with his family members who said he should be brought home for traditional healing but my husband died on our way home.

Since he died, his family have been on my neck, first confiscating his properties and now are accusing me of killing him. How could she have killed my husband, she keep asking them?

Now, they say She must swear an oath in the village shrine as well as drink the water used in washing his body to prove my innocence.

One of Amaechi's cousins who has been my only supporter has told me never to swear at the shrine or drink the water because they want to use that to kill me and take over my husband's properties.

I'm staying on projects that we KNOW are happening for the time being, before we dig into future projects that feel like speculation. We know that Zack Snyder is hammering away at Justice League for a November 2017 release, and we have seen the team gathered in the cast photo shared above. The leaked report confirms that Steppenwolf is the villain, but adds that Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) -- having been freed from prison -- helps bring Steppenwolf to Earth in exchange for technology and information. The report states that Lex is still trying to get the public to hate superheroes, but his plan is failing this time around.

As for Superman, the leaked report does confirm that when Henry Cavill steps back into the Superman suit -- because we all know he isn't going to stay dead -- he will have a beard, long hair, a tattered black suit, and he will be skinny af. But, in a very cool sounding sequence, Cavill will appear to get stronger with every punch thrown in a battle, because Superman will be in our sun longer with each passing second. The report also claims that there will be a scene involving Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), where they are committing a crime and expecting to be caught by Batman, only, the whole Justice League shows up, and it's a comedic "Holy shit!" moment. We shall see.

Confederations Cup: Yet another trophy for Ronaldo?

This may be the one soccer major tournament where losing has an upside.

Since its start in 1992, no Confederations Cup winner has gone on to win the following year's World Cup.

The tournament pits the winners of each of world governing body FIFA's six continental tournaments against the previous World Cup Finals winners, and future hosts -- in this case Russia -- a year before its showcase tournament.

This year's cup boasts two of the biggest stars on the planet in Cristiano Ronaldo and Alexis Sanchez, but will also field 94th ranked New Zealand, who could struggle just to keep their matches competitive.

Russia has been grouped with European champion Portugal, New Zealand and Mexico, while World Cup titleholder Germany heads the other group featuring Chile, Cameroon and Australia.

The tournament will showcase four of the 12 stadiums built or refurbished for next year's World Cup, and will take place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Sochi.

Over time, the tournament has been a chance for host countries to work through teething problems ahead of the World Cup. Based on violence displayed by some Russian fans, who clashed with England supporters, at the Euro 2016 tournament in France, quelling any repeat will be a top priority for Russian organizers.

SpaceX's Mars colony plan: How Elon Musk plans to build a million-person Martian city

Elon Musk has put his Mars-colonization vision to paper, and you can read it for free.

SpaceX's billionaire founder and CEO just published the plan, which he unveiled at a conference in Mexico in September 2016, in the journal New Space. Musk's commentary, titled "Making Humanity a Multi-Planetary Species," is available for free on New Space's website through July 5.

"In my view, publishing this paper provides not only an opportunity for the spacefaring community to read the SpaceX vision in print with all the charts in context, but also serves as a valuable archival reference for future studies and planning," New Space editor-in-chief (and former NASA "Mars czar") Scott Hubbard wrote in a statement. Musk's Mars vision centers on a reusable rocket-and-spaceship combo that he's dubbed the Interplanetary Transport System (ITS). Both the booster and the spaceship will be powered by SpaceX's Raptor engine, still in development, which Musk said will be about three times stronger than the Merlin engines that power the company's Falcon 9 rocket.

Democrats in Congress file lawsuit

Nearly 200 Democrats in the US Congress have joined forces to file a legal case against President Donald Trump over receipt of payments from foreign governments via his businesses.

The plaintiffs accuse Mr Trump of violating the Constitution's emoluments clause, prohibiting receipt of gifts without congressional approval.

They say this is the largest number of legislators ever to sue a US president.

State officials and private businesses are suing Mr Trump in similar cases.

The attorneys general of Maryland and the District of Columbia announced their lawsuit on Monday.

The White House has denied their allegations.

Spokesman Sean Spicer said that "partisan politics" could be behind the lawsuit of the attorneys general.

The justice department declined to comment on the latest suit by legislators, but has said previously it is unconstitutional to sue the president in his private capacity.

At least 30 senators and 166 representatives are involved.

They say Mr Trump has not sought congressional approval for any payments received by his businesses from foreign governments since he took office

Despacito remix made top of the billboard with a little touch from Bieber

The original version of "Despacito" was already a hit with Spanish language stations in  the U.S. and on music charts across the globe , but it was the remix featuring Justin Bieber that catapulted the sensual song into not only the mainstream but music history.

Billboard’s chart manager for Latin/R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap, Amaya Mendizabal, has watched the growth and explosion of the “Despacito” Remix. “It’s great for the industry as a whole and it sheds a great light onto Latin music,” she told NBC Latino.

But, was it just the Bieber touch that's to credit or is there more to it? That depends on who’s asked.

“[The song] is dominated by a Latin urban platform with a little salt and pepper from Bieber,” said Ramón H. Rivera-Servera, the chair and director of graduate studies in the Department of Performance Studies at Northwestern University.

Wonder woman rules the Box office

After flying past predictions with a $223 million global opening weekend, Patty Jenkins' superhero blockbuster Wonder Woman continues its domination of the box office this weekend. The film is tracking to top $420+ million in worldwide receipts. That's good enough for Gal Gadot's Amazon hero to break into 2017's top 10 box office grossers, unseating Fifty Shades Darker for the eighth spot on the list.
After several terrific weekdays that saw Wonder Woman nabbing almost $12 million on Monday, followed by an even bigger $14.4 million on Tuesday, the movie is enjoying loud positive buzz from audiences and plenty of repeat business already. It's on pace for a finish anywhere between $250 million domestic to $310 million, depending on how well it holds and whether the final multiplier is more in the 3x range or the 2.5x range. But worldwide, it's clear Wonder Woman is headed for a finish with more than $600 million, while $700 million is definitely still in the cards.

Currently sitting somewhere near $320 million in global ticket sales as of this morning, if Wonder Woman sees weekend numbers of $60 million domestic and something similar overseas, then it could conceivably finish this weekend with $440+ million. The film's international footprint grew this week as it opened in a few new markets, including Germany, and next week it expands further. So expect strong holds as the new markets plus vacation time for young audiences creates a wonderful environment for the Amazon princess to make a serious run at $500 million before the start of weekend #3.

Whether it actually manages to hit that target or winds up closer to $480+ million entering its junior weekend, the film is still in a great position and should top $520 million during that weekend. By the end of June, it's looking at a likely top-5 spot for the year.
